Agrofood BIC: “Call for Ideas” launched
The multi-company accelerator, launched in February 2019 by Granarolo, Eurovo, Camst, Conserve Italia, Ima and Gellify, has officially announced the launch of the “call for ideas” with the aim of selecting, internationally, the 5 best startups, university spin-offs and ideas, in the following areas:
- Nutrition and Health to meet the need of consumers increasingly looking for nutritious and tasty food that responds to specific health-related needs, with a focus on organic and functional foods, supplements, nutraceuticals, alternatives to sugar;
- Innovative Packaging solutions with a focus on smart packaging that provide valuable information ensuring greater shelf life and food quality, especially on long journeys and sustainable packaging solutions including important parameters such as recyclability, reuse and biodegradability;
For the 5 selected projects there will be a grant of 500 thousand euros (to be divided) and the opportunity to work closely with companies for mentorship, develop pilot projects and expand the business in an absolutely win/win collaboration that perfectly embodies the spirit of open innovation.
