INDUSTRIAL LOGISTICS

The warehouse is a strategic node in the logistics System, which is why efficiency – rapidity and productivity are crucial in this precise “moment”/phase. Intralogistics are evolving in the wake of the digital revolution, industry 4.0 and the green objectives. the wharehouse is also charging: all operations are taking place inside warehouses, which incorporates solutions dictated by green building, energy saving and the need to rationalise space with vertical and carousel warehouses. Handling, storing, cataloguing, weighing, packaging and picking operations are also more automated.

“Smart” systems and remote controls modify performance and work. The traditional warehouse management system is at a crossroads between obsolescence or evolution. Meanwhile, World Capital notes that in 2019 investments in Italy for logistics properties reached 1.4 billion euros. According to a survey revealed on 22 January 2020 by World Capital, the volume of investments in Italy reached 1.4 billion euros, with an increase of 53.8% compared to 2017. Therefore, it is extremely important to circulate and introduce all the best green technologies in such an important period for the Industrial Logistics area.
